Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
This policy explains what information RustCraft (run by VNMCA) collects, why, and what choices you have. It covers the RustCraft website, launcher, and Minecraft server.
What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address and a username (when you register) | To create and secure your account, verify your email, and let you sign in. |
| A password | Stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider (Supabase). We never see or store your actual password. |
| Forum posts and replies you write | To show them on the forum, with your username and the time posted. |
| A profile picture you upload (optional) | To show as your avatar on your account and next to your forum posts. Stored in our Supabase storage. |
| In-game data (your Minecraft username, stats, purchases, chat) | To run the server, your rank and cosmetics, and moderation. |
| Basic technical data (e.g. approximate request info and logs) | To keep the Service working, secure, and free of abuse. |
We do not ask for or want sensitive personal information. Please don't post it on the forum.
How we use it
- to run your account, the forum, the store, and the game server;
- to keep the Service secure and enforce our Terms and rules;
- to answer your questions and provide support.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of trusted services to run RustCraft. Your data is handled by them only to provide the Service:
- Supabase — accounts (sign-in, email verification), the forum, profile-picture storage, and the live "on the site now" count (Realtime).
- Netlify — website hosting.
- Discord — our community and support (only if you choose to join).
- mcsrvstat.us — the live server status (players in game) shown on the site uses this public status service.
- mc-heads.net — renders the small Minecraft head icons shown for players who are in game.
- A payment provider — only if you make a purchase, to process it.
Cookies and local storage
When you sign in, your browser stores a login session (through Supabase) so you stay signed in. The site may also remember small preferences in your browser. We don't use advertising trackers.
Who's online
While you have the site open, it shows a live count of how many people are currently on the site. If you're signed in, your username and avatar are shown in that list to other visitors; if you're signed out, you're only counted anonymously. Close the tab and you're removed from the count. The "in game now" list shows players currently on the Minecraft server and their Minecraft heads, using the public services listed above.
Your choices and rights
- You can view and change your username and look in the launcher, and edit or delete your own forum posts.
- You can delete your account yourself at any time from Settings → Delete account; this permanently removes your account and the data tied to it (profile, avatar, forum posts). When you delete, the reason you give is shared with the site owner. You can also ask us on Discord.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, or object to certain uses. We'll honour valid requests.
Keeping it
We keep your account and forum data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data, except anything we must keep for security or legal reasons.
Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, contact us and we'll remove it.
Security
We use reputable providers and sensible measures to protect your data, including hashed passwords and encrypted connections. No online service can be perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Changes
We may update this policy; we'll change the date above and, where we can, note meaningful changes in the Discord.
